We all have different approaches to scrapbooking. Most of the time when I’m working on my scrapbook layouts it takes me longer to conceptualize or design my pages than it does to actually put it together. I lay my photos out, moving them here and there until I like the placement; then I try to picture the overlays, frames or mats that will enhance the pictures.  I have to remind myself that it doesn’t have to be complicated; a clean and simple design, like color-blocking, can work just as well – and it’s a lot quicker too.
