I have a friend who always sends the nicest thank you notes for presents she receives. She recently retired from her job so I decided to gift her with a set of thank you notes.
I used cardstock and B&T paper from the Brushed paper pack (retired), B1449 Oodles of Doodles stamp set and Z3024 White Shimmer Trim.

Nevermore, one of the new paper packs featured in our Holiday Expressions 2015 idea book, lends itself easily to Halloween layouts and cards because of the colors and some of its paper patterns, but it’s very versatile and can be used in many different ways.
The colors in this pack will be great in any of your fall designs and also work well for masculine themed designs like this birthday card I recently made for my brother. 
Inspired by a design I found on Pinterest from classicchristina.blogspot.com, this card was originally made using the now retired Jackson paper pack and I really wanted to use some of our new products. Along with the beautiful new Eggplant Cardstock, one of Nevermore’s B&T Duos™ designs includes mechanical drawings and since my brother is an engineer I just knew I had to use this paper for his card. I combined it with papers from the Georgie and Basics Fundamentals Paper Packs, added some bling from the Sequins Silver Assortment and a small bow made from Whisper Thick Twine. I cut the star using CTMH’s Art Philosophy cartridge. The sentiment is from a retired Operation Smile set, Happy Everything, but could easily be swapped out with one of our current stamp sets such as Joyful Birthday B1419.

What a summer – it’s been too long since my last post and there’s quite a bit to share. An incredible Alaskan vacation (pictures of which I’m sure you’ll see in future artwork posts), fun crops with my Scrapbunny friends and always a good breakfast with the OVOBC crowd. But I’m not the only one keeping busy, the Close To My Heart team has been getting ready for the release of our new Annual Inspirations idea book – coming September 1st – and all the wonderful new products. New is exciting but sometimes we’re not quite ready to let go of the familiar. Included on the list are some tried and true colors that are part of our Enchantment collection.

Friends of mine are preparing to pack up and move their family from Kentucky to Oregon so I wanted to make a card for their going away party. I’ve been noticing a variety of stand-up or dimensional cards recently, both on Pinterest and some of the blogs I follow, and have been wanting to try one myself – this is what I came up with.
I used Cricut Design Space to layout my images and text and Cricut Explore to do the cuts as well as the written text; cartridges used: Old West (Wagon), Outdoor Man (Pine trees), and Country Life (text). All cardstock was from Close To My Heart and the patterned background paper was from my personal stash.
